Here’s the idea. I talk on a radio show and play some music. That should really not be a one way process, I want YOU to talk to me and choose some music. You’re the one listening to it after all.
So we’re collaborating on this little thing we call the Linx Project. Here’s how it works:
- We have an “in play track”
- You suggest a track that has some kind of connection to the track that’s in play. Tenuous, contrived, obscure or obvious, it doesn’t matter, bar a couple of exceptions…
- It must be a different band/artist unless you’re connecting via a member two bands shared
- It must be a different song – can’t be having an hour made up of 14 different cover versions of Personal Jesus, that’d get boring.
- The connection must be different to the one used to get to the in play track – for instance, if we were connecting “The River” by Twin Tribes to “The River of No Return” by Ghost Dance via the connection of “river” the next connection we wouldn’t use “rivers” or other bodies of water to get our next track.
- The In Play track is updated every wednesday at 1900 UK time on the Linx Project Facebook page and played as the bridge between the programmes that make up The OTHer Hours on Crew Rock Radio each Friday
